better definitions for -1,1 and -1,0,1

This opinion post is related to the poll:

I was uncomfortable with the definitions of -1,1 and -1,0,1 defined
in the page with the poll. I had too many unresolved questions
about what happens if a voter abstains.

I also think that messaging for how the polls are presented are critical.
Presentinga vote as -1/0/1 is very different then presenting it is Like/Dislike/Not Sure.

You should link to it on the page with poll (after your request to not read it until your first vote is cast)

presentation

Yes, I agree about the presentation.
That's precisely what Michael wanted to test with the poll: what would be the response of the general public to a poll like this one.

It's still too early to say, because the site does not yet attract much traffic.
But I guess that a description with less jargon (and even maybe less precise mathematically) but using simple words (like/dislike, as you say) would be better for the public.

That's another interest of this site: Soon, I'll implement Approval voting, and other EM: people will be able to test each and see for themselves the difference.
