The candidate should fully represent the left of the electorate.

I felt this was too broad a statement. In my opinion, the American left is generally more in tune with my opinions than the clowns of the GOP. But there are Republicans out there who are not crazy like some small government libertarians or economic conservatives. I have no sympathy however for religion in government or prejudice (racial or otherwise).
